Looking for a noise gate for a US strat, operated by a foot pedal.
Any recommendations?

i like my boss . its a combination noise gate and power supply. you can add
an assortment of outher pedals and dont need batterys in them. there not
verry expensive.

Must it all be in the stomp box? The Guitar Silencer is best. It's a
rackmount, but it uses FOOTSWITCHES.

Nice idea, but I'm fed up shifting loads of gear around, and a rack
would tip me over the edge. Stomp box is preferred.

I really like my MXR Smart Gate...much more that the Boss gate. I find
that I get mimimal sustain loss for a high amount of noise reduction,
plus I like MXR's true bypass circuitry. Go to a store near you & try
them out for yourself.

Try the blue Hush model. But it is not a Guitar Silencer. You have to
decide how much you are willing to trade off for convenience.
