I've made and installed a few of these flying brace systems. I didn't find
that they lowered the bridge very much, though I can envisage that they
could prevent further lifting. I split one bridge trying to crank it down
with the adjusting screw.
They might also affect tone, and you might or might not like the change if
there is one.
