I recently put a post about changing the 2 spring reverb in my amp
to a 3 spring. The guy that built the amp gave me one. It made quiet a
dereference, more than I thought it would. I get a lot more presence, and
last longer. I like the new sound but also like the old sound so the ideal
set up would be 2 ½ springs they don't make that. So hear is my Idea
mounting both reverb tanks in the amp with a switch for tank selection. My
question is what type of switch?( technical name) Or do they make something
like this ? A B switch for a stereo maybe. Now hear was something else I was
wondering about do the speaker magnets effect the reverb tanks? I don't know
if the springs are magnetic. Also turning down the control on the 3 spring
tank doesn't give it same sound as the 2 spring. I just thought this would
be interesting to try , cheap experiment.

What you need is an on/on switch or on/off/on .They're both common
either premade or buy the switches and enclosure to build youreslf.
You could make one from a common toggle switch or mini toggle if you
want to activate it yourself. It can be made smaller and lighter if
you're not stepping on it. It could be built very small as a matter of
fact.

Use the 3-spring tank, but wrap a rubber-band around one end of one
spring, so it doesn't revererate as long.
How's that for a 2=BD spring idea? No switches that way, and you can
tailor it to taste.

That would work, I'll build a box for the switch and Jacks. I could just
mount both pans and unplug a plug earthier one in , But what fun is that
