Tiny Amp for Acoustic - Einstine - 21:14 14-11-05

I need a tiny amp to amplify, very slightly, my acoustic-electric.
I jam a lot with acoustic players and when you are the one doing
the picking with 3 or 4 other acoustics playing chords it gets
kinda drowned out. Not looking for something that will make an
acoustic sound great, as it is just for a slight touch of volume, but
looking for your experience on the best little small amp.
Much smaller than a Blues Junior. Kind of like the gorilla amps
I remember.

Try and get a Yamaha AA5. I've got one and it's perfect for a small bit of
amplification. (Works via mains or 60 Hrs on 4 AA-batteries).
They could be discontinued however. Best to browse around a bit.
Cheers,
Bas

Hi,

not cheap, but great amp from A.E.R. great for acoustics, works also very
well in combination with POD for electric guitar.

I have a Crate KX15, only because it was given to me FREE.
It does a GOOD JOB of amplifying my Ibanez AE. That's because it is a
keyboard amp, designed for full range. It has a sealed and ported
enclosure for bass response, and a tweeter for high frequencies. The
four band EQ is also very good. ...and, they're usually CHEAP on the
used market.
A *much better* option for acoustic than a conventional electric guitar
amp, because of frequency response and tone controls!
