American Fender Strat with Warmoth Neck - Jeff - 12:05 17-11-05

I know I am posting a lot on this subject but I would like your opinions.

American Fender Strat Plus with Warmoth Neck. Bout an hour from the house.

The following is strictly my personal opinion. Feel free to ignore it
(but hey, you asked):

First the good - nice color. Is that Fender's "midnight wine" paint?
And the price is right (unless the bidding drives it way up).

Now the bad - Lace Sensor pickups and jumbo frets. Ugh. I think I've
already posted on 2 other threads today how much both of them suck
(IMHO). Pickups are easy to replace, but swapping necks or refretting
is too much of an expense and/or hassle. Make sure you like the way it
plays before you buy.

I replaced the neck on a Mex Roland-Ready Strat with a maple Warmoth neck,
and the quality was really excellent. Of course, the radious, profile,
frets, etc., may or may not be to your liking, but my experience with them
in several purchases is that their quality is quite good.
