Isn't that a Gibson ES-175 he uses? I think that guitar has a LOT to do
with his sound.

I'm pretty sure he plays an ES-125. Here is an old Gibson press
release:

Close, sort of - it's an ES-125. Thin body, low end, P-90's, discontinued.

It seems like I've seen him playing a guitar with a little bit thicker
body once or twice. Maybe a Gretsch White Falcon?
That Fender amp looked like a Showman to me?

My band warmed up for him when he played Madison, WI during his "50 States
In 50 Dates" tour. He used a goldtop ES-125 through a blonde Fender 2x12"
piggyback amp, straight in and cranked, what exact model, I don't know.
He rocked the place to the ground! Management was pretty upset because he
wouldn't quit playing encores, and it was impossible for them to get the
crowd out before bartime.
