Just ordered a Washburn DK20T acoustic -

Being a total electric gear whore, I finally took the plunge & ordered
a low-priced DK20T acoustic (with built-in tuner), mainly because I've
read a lot of good feedback about this model (good bang for the buck).
I'm not looking for Martin-like quality, but does anyone here have any
opinions on this guitar? My electric technique is decent, but my
fingerpicking needs...work ;-) MF had it on sale for $130, so I got
American Musical to match the price, plus you get their extra 1-yr
warranty.

I'm still a *lot* gun shy about buying acoustics online...a few years
back I bought nice Epiphone acoustic jumbo for $350...came in, chimed
like a church bell, beautiful guitar. Within two weeks, the neck had
warped so badly, every fret was buzzing. Sent it back for a
replacement, got the runaround from MF, finally got a new one...another
month goes by, same problem. Finally got them to give me a refund, I
remember mentioning in my letter that my daughter's $30 toy guitar had
better action than that Epi AJ.

This way, even if it's not such a bargain, it's still only $130...and
it's got to be easier to play than the toy guitar I learned on when I
was 8. I recall those strings were at least a foot & a half off the
fretboard ;-)

(BTW, this is my third purchase from AMS...I'm very impressed. Much
prefer them to MF, although it's nice to put some bigger items
interest-free on the MF card & pay them off over 12 months)
