16ths @ 260 BPM is 69.33 Hz. Pick attack is gonna dominate as a
blurred C#2 plus 25 Hz ( according to the software I use ).
Sheesh.

You mean our mystery track is a cover of this song,
Altitudes ? Hm, I listened to 30 second samples of Altitudes
by Becker on the net, and it has some similarity. I have to
download the whole song to be sure. I will let people know...

No, it's 17.3Hz. It's 16 to the bar, not the beat.

Just curious... have you ever heard Joe Stump? This guy is a MO-FO.
Not only does he shred he's got a good tone to boot. Check out
some of his older stuff like Guitar Dominance. Some shredders
sound like they are just playing scales up and down, but Stump
is musical.

This post was cross posted and I was just razzing Les' "calculation" for
fun... (not slamming JS)
Then, I just thought, why do you need a calculator to play guitar. Some guys
are into speed but I'm not really. I can play fast, but not in the same way
the calculator guys do. That being said, I'd rather hear a guy that can play
fast, but doesn't NEED it to be good or versatile.
I've heard OF Joe Stump, but never heard him play. I heard he was great, but
as with most solo guitar players' stuff these days, I'd just pass it up for
something that doesn't just showcase the "guitar". When I was younger, I
probably would have known all about him.
I'd love to hear him tho... Any links to some of his clips?
